Grand Central Terminal swapped their old Art Deco-style digital departure boards for these new ones last April. I just saw them a couple of weeks ago, and I actually liked the change. This new look seems easier on the eyes, although I hear not everyone agrees. The design is simple but classy, and I usually like it when modern, state-of-the-art elements are mixed in with history. In addition to its new look, these boards are also supposed to streamline the movement of trains in and out of the terminal; thus, decreasing congestion.
As in any change, there are always people who don't like it and complain, but I for one am totally digging this new look.
