Greening your laundry

Came across this video from Con Edison on saving energy by being smart with your laundry. Did you know 90 percent of the energy used in running your washing machine is used in heating the water? Had no idea. I did know front loaders are more energy efficient than top loaders. Did you know why? It uses less water. Did you know energy efficient dryers had moisture sensors? Again, had no idea though it seems like it makes all the difference in cutting energy usage. Also, you should dry loads one right after another to conserve heat, and clean the air filter! Hate it when other people in my building leave their lint for me to clean. I think it's high time we all greened our laundry.  (Click "Read more" to watch the video.)
