Green

Do I like the color green because I care about the environment, or do I care about the environment because I like the color green? Is it a chicken-or-the-egg situation, or are the two just a natural combination? In any case, I look at this tree outside my window this time of year, its leaves getting dark and full on the branches but still young with shades of lime, and I'm reminded of why this color, so ubiquitous in nature is so cool, so fresh and new. Not to mention the fact that by this time, my hay fever is on its way out, which makes looking at the leaves all the more sweeter.
